Just updated my home PC from Linux Mint 7. Version 8 is based on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. Reminds me again that Linux Mint is so much sweeter than Ubuntu! I did a clean install this time, and then restored my Home folder with all my data and settings.

Quick impressions are it has newer versions of 3rd party software available, the LAN networking is really working well out of the box with Windows shares and servers, and the Virtualbox is running fast and solid so far.
