I just got this wireless electricity monitor now, after previously using the Owl monitor. The main reasons were that this one has a USB link to the computer with software that will download and monitor trends for proper analysis such as superimposing days of the week's usage curves for comparison for times of the day and examination of historical data. It also has a wireless strength meter so you can see whether the distance is an issue with reception issues. The Owl's softwre downloader would have required that I also bought another monitor but that it needed a computer on 24/7 to read and save the data (this wastes power!). The efergy monitor will save data for months between downloads if necessary.
See www.efergy.co.za/pages/86009315/shopping/product-details.... for details on this monitor. And see www.flickr.com/photos/dvdmerwe/3867302082/ for a photo of my Owl monitor.
