This was one of very many waiting in the steam loco graveyard at Touwsrivier for scrapping. In a way it is a fitting place for them to gather as this was one of the main railway junctions, and during the steam era, also a major railway town with fitters and turners working in the railway workshops. I wish now that I had taken more photos, but this was still in the days of film cameras and we used them sparingly...
