I certainly got my fill of interesting vintage vehicles but I was left severely wanting on the "innovation and concept cars" side... Not a single electric vehicle, and even at the Volkswagen stand I thought surely they must have an eGolf on show (in fact they told me they have no intention of even bringing one into the country). BMW was not to be found as I thought maybe they would have their i3 on display at least. Now that I think back, I can't recall ever seeing any hybrid cars either! There were diesel cars on show still though, which is nice while they are still available for sale.
This is what had pulled me from the advertising: "This impressive arena will host the best of the best of the top manufacturers and dealers, showcasing new cars and concepts in RSA including all the major brands such as the likes of Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Fussi, Infiniti, Iveco Jaguar, Kia, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes, Man, Porsche, Scania, Toyota, Volvo, VW to name a few."
Maybe I'll l skip the next two years or so until South Africa catches up with the newer trends in motoring....
