Seeing we are doing more and more day hikes some new shoes were needed.... these are very breathable and have good grip. It took an hour in the shop to decide between these and the Smart Walker model with the waterproof inners.... I went for breathability rather as most of our hiking is in the heat and dust. It has Ortholite inner soles which allow airflow and cushion comfort.

Chantel is going for the Hi-Tec Aucklands which are waterproof and breathable but there is no men's version of that show in South Africa.
