Starting with 10.4 you can now just plug in your iPod or iPhone and the built-in Rhythmbox recognises it and syncs to it! This support is also being built into the other music applications. Great thing is that, unlike iTunes, you can use the same music player to set playlists and then sync with any other MP3 players - really open!
