LG Watch Sport band splitting after 1 year and 7 months

IMG_20190225_184132.jpg Ticwatch Pro - just delievred in its Amazon boxThumbnailsMounted a Watson W-30 Dual-Band Base Colinear 2m 1/2 wave 70cm 2x 5/8 wave antenna today

I bought this watch in July 2017 at quite a cost as it had to be shipped out from the USA with the extra VAT and duty payable on arrival in South Africa. So 19 months later the band is seen splitting. The band contains the Wifi, Bluetooth and LTE antennas and there are not even easy to obtain replacements without the antennas. One place in Korea sells them at $70 each. The lesson is don't buy devices that do not have easily replaceable bands or batteries!

Now ol' people like myself know that smart phones, smart watches/cars/robots, etc., demand expensive upgrades to remain functional, yet souces for these gadgets are hard to attain, expensive and of questionable quality.
    Thanks, Danie

Yep and they never last as long either. My HP calculator still runs from the 1980's but I'm wondering how long these modern gadgets will still run...
